Accreditation is a fancy word that means, in an academic setting, a school has met key education and performance standards that are set by an industry oversight agency and are recognized by the United States Department of Education (DOE). Accredited schools are evaluated by agencies that maintain formal relationships with the DOE. The agency setting education and performance standards—as well as evaluating against these standards—for many beauty schools, including Tricoci University, is the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences (NACCAS).
