The most current, technically precise and versatile education available in the cosmetology training field today. Learn to become a Hairdresser, Hair Colorist, Cosmetologist, Stylist, Nail Technician, Make-up Artist, or Esthetician.
Our curriculum focuses on creating a secure foundation of the scientific building blocks for skin: its function, properties, and needs. Learn to become a Facialist, Waxing Specialist, Body Treatment Specialist, Medi-Spa Esthetician, or Make-up Artist.
This 3 day per week schedule allows our students to continue to “earn while they learn” to be a teacher. Learn to become a Cosmetology Teacher, Cosmetology Teacher with Experience*, or Esthetics Teacher.
Federal student aid programs (i.e. Title IV) are available for students who qualify. A TUBC Financial Aid Coordinator can assist students with these programs and other financial assistance options to make Tricoci University as affordable as possible. From 1945 to 2017, Chicago was the home to Ebony Magazine and its sister publication Jet, centerpieces of black style, culture, and beauty. Magazine images showed everything from beauty parlors to barber shops, and articles covered topics such as cosmetic entrepreneurs.
In the 1960s, the beehive hairstyle was developed by Chicago-based hairstylist Margaret Vinci Heldt. The style has crossed genres and decades, having been worn by Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Marge Simpson, Jackie Onassis, and so many more.
Today, Chicago’s style is a hotbed for streetwear culture. The scene is defined by local designers Virgil Abloh and Kanye West, as well as local brands Fat Tiger and Chicago Native. Plus, brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus have debuted their streetwear collections in Chicago.
In October, Makeup Show Chicago brings together professional makeup artists, brands, and industry leaders.
Cosmetologists Chicago holds events throughout the year including advanced trainings, workshops, and the annual America’s Beauty Show held in downtown Chicago each April.
Many fashion events in Chicago bring together local beauty leaders with the latest style trends. Look for events such as Midwest Fashion Week, Chicago Fashion Week, Latino Fashion Week, and more.
Tricoci University student salons are a great way to experience high-level salon and spa services at very modest prices.
