I was chosen to participate at The International Salon and Spa Expo, a place where salons, spas and retailers come to sell and show off talents. The booth I was going to be working for was Hair Addictionz, were we would learn to apply micro taped extensions and their different hair pieces. As I entered the Expo we meet the founders (Lorraine Conrad, her husband) and coworkers of Hair Addictionz. This was such a pleasure to meet them because they have gone far in the hair industry and I admire that. We then setup and they started to explain what we were going to be doing. They showed me how to apply Hair Crystals, Hair feathers, Fun Fillers and their famous Micro-Taped Extensions. This was all new to me and I was excited to sell and inform others about Hair Addictionz extensions and fun hair accessories. Selling products is not the only thing I did, I got the opportunity to be in and help teach The Micro-Taped Extension class.
This was a wonderful experience for me because I was able to meet and work with Hair Addictionz. I was able to talk and learn a lot from Mrs. Lorraine. I learned that you may have to put yourself out there even if you’re not comfortable just to sell and be heard. This is something that I will always remember and I can take with me where ever I go. It was a fun time for me and I will definitely do it again.
