A team of cosmetology students and instructors fromTricoci University of Beauty Culture are set to style the hair and makeup of models at the upcoming Latino Fashion Week, taking place in Chicago the week of October 1-5, 2014.
Student teams from Tricoci University’s Chicago Northeast (Rogers Park) and Chicago Northwest (Norwood Park) campuses will be working alongside some of the beauty industry’s top salon professionals, as well as the fashion industry’s most talented Latino designers, to makeover the runway models with cutting-edge beauty looks.
In its eight year and themed ‘Beyond Exceptional’, Latino Fashion Week is the only full week and tour dedicated to Latino Fashion in the United States, showcasing top Latino designers from Central and South America, the Caribbean and the U.S. The event also takes place in Dallas, Los Angeles and Miami throughout the year.
Jill Marcodes, Executive Director of Cosmetology Education of Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, says: “We’re truly honored to be taking part in such an inspiring and creative national event. We place great emphasis on giving our students regular industry experience and this type of activity is a perfect example. Nothing beats being able to work alongside and learn from salon professionals in a fast-paced fashion environment.”
