We’ve been very excited in Highland about raising money for the Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital!
We are hoping to soon go beyond just donating items, food or money and put a bigger smile on their faces by donating our time to pamper them and make them feel beautiful inside and out. Each class at the Highland Campus has chosen a class name — Shamrock Shakers, Chris’s Angels, Hamburglers, Skintastics, Mmm Mmm Good, & Night Nuggets — and have been making some pretty creative boxes in the shape of happy meals, fries, and shakes for our in-house contest. It’s getting very competitive!
Our students are probably the most excited for spirit week, starting March 20, because we’re having crazy hair and makeup day, class color day, twin day, and fancy Friday. But in order to participate, each student has to bring an item per day for the Ronald McDonald House charity.
We are also having “Jeans days,” with a chance to get up to five jean passes for the items we bring. March Madness is also a big competition that involves upselling our services and selling preferred memberships to receive some interesting prizes.
In addition, we have an upcoming creative demo themed “Spring Into Color” with models and stylists ready to do make-over’s. Our student council has been working very hard on these events and is ready to take on more and plan for future events to make school a bit more fun!!
