Tricoci University of Beauty Culture (TUBC) is honored to announce that two of its talented cosmetology students picked-up awards at the 29th annual Illinois Association of Cosmetology Schools’ Student Contest (IASC), held on November 9th at Tinley Park Convention Center.
The following students represented TUBC with beautiful, creative work: Laura Saunders (TUBC’s Glendale Heights campus), Rebekah Hall (Chicago NE campus), and Kathryn (Kaedi) Leamon (both from TUBC”s Chicago NE campus); with Kathryn awarded first place and Laura winning fifth place in the bridal category.
The bridal category asked student competitors to create a very elegant bridal look that reflected a fashionable ‘classic bridal wedding’. Hair could be short or long and styled as an updo or down. The degree of difficulty in achieving the final hairstyle and makeup was considered as part of the judging.
Jill Marcodes, Executive Director of Cosmetology at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, says:“This competition is always important to our students – it’s a chance for cosmetology students across Illinois to gather and demonstrate their newly developed beauty skills. This year’s team had an awesome time and a special congratulations to the two award winners.”
